ok so by now there has to be NO WAY you can’t know that this sunday at
cargo, rivington street, shoreditch, east london, uk, earth
etc….etc.. etc that OFFCUTS is happening but in the meantime a
little bit of visual stimulation (and i can already hear my sound
ENGINEER friends complaining the sound could be better..) watch me and
Chris Devita of Mckeown-Devita productions talk about what this whole
event is about anyway..

and i have to say as a former filmmaker as terrible as it felt to be
in front of the camera i’m not (entirely) embarrassed at the
results.for the filmmakers who are coming this sunday, now you know
what i look like so you can look out for me to tell you when your film
will be screening. thanks to super hip and intelligent berlin based
online artzine flasher for interviewing us.
p.s. the fact that i’m still online says everything about how this
taking up all my not so spare time..

My local post office is chronically understaffed and seems to always
have a queue that dares to reach the front door regardless of the day
of week, or time of day i visit. When you walk through the front door
there is a small shop of sorts with stationary, tacky cards and cheap
gifty type things to send with your tacky card and freshly purchased
envelope.
But before walking into the "gateway" of the actual post office itself, there are a series of hastily taped up paper signs.

I’d never taken the time to read any of them until a couple weeks ago,
when one made me struggle to hold back my laughter so bad i had to take a picture
and send it to a friend in paris, at least she could laugh out loud
without facing threatening glares from the staff, and aggrivated glances from the queue.

I
went back again on the weekend, and this time made sure to read ALL of
the signs. I had to take pictures of them to post here. i must preface
these images with the fact that these are meant with GRAVE SERIOUSNESS
and i have not altered, added, exaggerated them in any way.

thats a no smoking sign in case you couldn’t tell…

and all i wanted was to send my girlfriend a parcel..
